City Housing Authorities

The Tuscaloosa Housing Authority (THA) is a public housing agency created by resolution of the City of Tuscaloosa in 1951. THA is a quasi-governmental entity governed by a Board of Commissioners appointed by the Mayor. THA’s mission is to provide a high standard of safe, decent, and affordable housing to the low to moderate-income residents of Tuscaloosa. For information, visit their website here.

The goals and objectives of the Housing Authority of the City of Northport is to provide above decent, safe sanitary and affordable housing, economic opportunity and a suitable living environment free from discrimination while we serve the needs of low income families. We will maintain an overall occupancy rate of 98% in our Public Housing and 100% in Section 8 Programs. For more information on the Housing Authority of the City of Northport, click here.
